Loaves & Fishes Outreach
Loaves & Fishes Outreach

Remember the story of compassion Jesus had on the 4000 people who listened to him speak; he multiplied the 7 Loaves of bread and the fishes!  That was the 1st church without walls…

This local ministry is doing exactly what Jesus did and have led thousands to our Lord throughout the years.  Delivering God’s message has been a weekly occurrence since 2006, leading to Jesus all who will listen, but now more than ever this is needed Daily as our nation is being flooded with false teachings.  The Holy Bibles warns us of the great departure.... "we have been gifted with a short amount of time before the return of Christ; the prophecies are being fulfilled at an alarming rate and our biblical responsibility is to lead others to accept salvation and make disciples of all nations."

Loaves & Fishes has located a building that will reach more people – daily, and needs YOUR support to make this happen.

Throughout the life of Loaves & Fishes; The Church Without Walls Outreach many volunteers come and many go, but those who are there now have been faithful and strong in heart.  Working with the homeless, poor, veterans, disabled, family's, children, and elderly (loving them, spiritually guiding them, providing a nourishing a family-type atmosphere for them) is not for everyone; it takes a sincere love and determination.

How We Began:

Loaves & Fishes was created by a caring Christian group in 2006.  Kristi became involved through a little church called A Voice In The Wilderness.  January 2008 was the beginning of a forever journey to work with the homeless and poor of Reno, carrying this love from her childhood home of York Pennsylvania.  In August 2008 James began attending the same little church and soon became involved with Loaves & Fishes.  James joined Kristi in preparing the meals in her one person kitchen and transporting the food to Barbara Bennett Park in downtown Reno each Thursday.  By December 2008 they knew they had been divinely joined and married the following July.  The best of friends, now a marriage, walking together throughout life serving God in ministry and the community of Reno, giving all they have without personal gain.

Loaves & Fishes is supported weekly by Pastor James & Kristi, tithes and offerings from volunteers and church's in the area.  Food that is nourishing is purchased; milk and bottled water is donated by a co-worker of Pastor James; holiday pies are from The Pie Company and The Dream Center in Carson City; coffee and day old pastries are donated by Starbucks.  Male and female hygiene packs are donated or purchased.  Each year, beginning in September, they partner with "Finding Hope" where barrels are placed in various locations to collect winter coats, and other winter clothing/items.  These items are then distributed to anyone in need.

The credit they give is not to themselves, they give all credit to their Savior Jesus for knowing the need before the need is apparent and sending the solution at the exact time the need is presented.  What does not matter to them is what religion you are affilitated with, the color of your skin, or the status of your legal background; you will be treated with love and made to feel that you have always been part of the family.  If you have been gone for a while and return, you will be warmly welcomed back.

Update:

January 2015 Loaves & Fishes became a 501(c)3 non-profit and is generously supported by tithes and offerings.  Income & Expense statements, Doctrine etc., and legal statements are located at the top left column under the Financials tab.

Good morning, Kristi. I met you at The River this Sunday and discussed helping on Thursdays. As it turns out, we are leaving town this morning for a few days and I will not be able to follow through,
this week. I look forward to help serve in our community, soon.
